Announcement: Penny Paws Veterinary Community Outreach
Penny Paws offers fast, affordable mobile vaccination clinics throughout metropolitan areas in Texas. Since 2010, Penny Paws Veterinary Community Outreach has been working to help people, help pets by sending out teams of licensed veterinarians to treat dogs and cats each weekend. The veterinary teams work to keep pets both legal (rabies vaccination is required by law in most local jurisdictions due to its role as public health concern) and healthy through the provision of vaccinations, heartworm tests, microchips and flea/tick/heartworm prevention medications. The pets are vaccinated against all common illnesses such as rabies, kennel cough, parvo, lepto and even rattlesnake envenomation for dogs and rabies, feline distemper and feline leukemia for cats. Heartworm tests are performed on site with rapid test results which allow for the veterinarian to prescribe proper treatment or prevention strategies for each pet. Microchipping is the most important way to ensure lost pets are reunited with their owners. Penny Paws is able to insert the sterile chip into the pet and after online registration, the pet and owner’s information are forever united.
