Puppy vaccinations should begin no later than 8 weeks of age but can be started as early as 6 weeks of age at doctors discretion. Vaccination boosters are then administered in monthly intervals. Puppies must be at least 12 weeks of age to receive a rabies vaccination.

Small segments are frequently passed in the stool and appear like a grain of rice.
