Penny Paws Externship Application

Are you ready to have fun outside of school? Our veterinary externships are designed to maximize your exposure to all aspects of small animal medicine. You will get to play with all of the cool toys including on-site laboratory, digital dental x-ray, digital radiology, high speed dental drill, ultrasound and much more!

During your externship, you will have the opportunity to participate in real life cases with our experienced doctors, examine patients, formulate diagnostic and treatment plans, participate in surgeries and educate clients.

You will additionally have the opportunity to rotate through our multiple clinics. If you like living on the wild side, we also see exotics at one of our clinics! Did we mention that you get to have all of this fun, learn AND get paid at the same time?

Come stay and play a while at Penny Paws – Contact [email protected] to schedule your externship. We can’t wait to meet you!

Program Overview:

Penny Paws Animal Clinic has multiple locations throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We have 3 clinics in Fort Worth, Arlington and Richland Hills and we are currently building our 4th in Grand Prairie (scheduled to open in Fall of 2019). Our 5th is scheduled to open in 2020 and will be located in DeSoto. We love serving the communities around our clinics and are deeply involved with local schools and community groups in the areas where we operate.
We offer affordable quality and compassionate care for small animals and for exotic pets. We have cloud based software, digital radiology, dental radiology, ultrasound capability and an onsite laboratory.

What you can expect:

Our doctors perform both routine and non-routine procedures and see both wellness and sick pet visits. Our doctors enjoy working with and mentoring both externship students and new associates.

Housing is available for externship students.

Our veterinarians typically work a 4 day work week and every other weekend, but we are flexible with scheduling to what our veterinarians require for work/life balance.

Benefits:

We offer full medical/dental and vision benefits in addition to a 401K plan, a generous CE stipend and both PTO and paid CE days. Our clinics offer a safe and healthy environment where new associates can establish their career.
